Tarantula Tattoo
My name is Iciar, member of the world of tattoos since 1998, thanks to my great friend and Master Linda Margot. She was the one that showed me everything from the old tattoo scene, in the beginning as a trainee and later on as a professional. After a long and hard time of training and working I installed myself in my first studio, together with all my illusions and a bit of logical fear of the skin of some one that was not familiar. Because I have always been aware of the fact that as an artist you have to give your soul into every single tattoo that you make, now that the client trusted in and choose you. Later on, together with some colleagues, I founded A.T.A.P.A. (association for professional tattoo and piercing artists of Andalusia).
And as time passed by I also managed to get a new and better studio to develop my work, because making a good tattoo isn´t everything, I think you have to be able to transmit faith to the client, together with good assessment and help to choose the perfect tattoo either it is a work designed by the client or something that I designed personally. And of course the best hygiene possible.
I am a specialist in scarification (actually recommended by some of the best clinics in Málaga, like El Pascual and El Pilar etc) , make-overs and I also do exclusive drawings that I never repeat. Thanks to my CV, the health department named me “sanitaria tatuadora”, something that makes me really proud. As I am very involved in the world of tattoos I also assisted in many conventions and I worked a lot together with colleagues to relay this kind of art. This was something that once gave me the opportunity to arrange the biggest tattoo and piercing meeting/party ever celebrated in Andalusia, with the assistance of 82 tattoo artists and hundreds of enthusiasts.
I have to give my thankfulness to all of my clients during the years that trusted in me enough to let me show my art on their bodies, they are the reason to why I can grow as an artist and get better every day.
